As you walk round Swanholme Lakes Nature Reserve you can see the weather is getting warmer & the days longer by the budding of the plants/trees,these particular ones are called CANINE EXCRETII (Dog Shit) trees their Buds come in different colours & weigh down the branches with their TOXIC fruits,
They were quite rare but now they are spreading everywhere.
Their scent is quite noxious & unpleasant, i would recommend when touching these types of trees you use either gloved hands or a picker & DO NOT EAT !!
I do enjoy all the seasons but i think SPRING is my favourite.
Everything is fresh & new & with the SPRING EQUINOX only a couple of weeks away (19-21 march) i'm looking forward to a weekend out.
